At Hoofprints Academy, we specialise in alternative education provision for young people who find mainstream schooling a challenge. We combine structured tutoring with therapeutic, outdoor learning helping learners rebuild confidence, engage with education and work towards recognised qualifications. Our Academy is designed for learners who may have struggled in traditional classrooms due to anxiety, SEMH needs, school refusal, SEND or other barriers to attendance.

Who is this for?

Hoofprints Academy supports young people aged between 11-19 who:

✔ Are not currently in full-time mainstream education

✔ Have difficulties with school attendance or engagement

✔ Have SEMH needs, anxiety or neurodiverse profiles

✔ Need accredited qualifications to progress

✔ Would benefit from nature-based, supported learning.

We work collaboratively with schools, local authorities and families to create education plans that really work.

What we provide

Our education programmes include:

✨ Entry Level English & Maths — focussed tutoring to build literacy and numeracy skills
✨ ASDAN Qualifications — practical, diploma-style accredited learning that recognises effort, progress and achievement
✨ Personalised Learning Plans — designed around each learner’s strengths, challenges and goals
Small-group or 1:1 sessions — encouraging engagement, growth and confidence. We deliver structured academic content while also supporting personal development, resilience and emotional wellbeing.

Whilst young people are with us, we work to provide them with, and the build the skills they need to return back to mainstream schooling.

We firmly believe that by attending our alternative provision they are able to remain social and develop skills that help them to reconnect, grow and make positive changes.
